COMMUNITY SAFETY PLAN
We have always been in this together, and as a community we are going to continue to make SpinHouse the safe, positive and motivating place it’s always been. It might look a little different for a while, but we’ve got this — together, we ride.
If you’re already a member of our studios, you know we take this cleaning thing seriously. Your health and safety has always been our highest priority, and now we’re doubling down. Our plan to keep us all healthy as we reopen the studio is detailed below. We will continue to adapt and update these policies as circumstances change, so you can always check back here to view the latest information.
DEEP CLEANING & SANITIZATION
Did you know that we’ve always used a hospital grade disinfectant effective against COVID-19 and viruses like it? Now, we will be spraying all bikes, weights, and the entire studio, including walls and floors, after each class. All equipment, whether used or not, will be thoroughly disinfected after each class. Disinfectant wipes will be provided to members to be used to wipe bikes before use.
Our shoes will be disinfected with hospital grade aerosol disinfectant and completely dried before use, and will never be used for two classes in a row. We will also be providing a service for shoe purchase for members wanting to bring their own shoes to class.
Weights will be disinfected and dried completely before use. Weights will now be provided at Front Desk when you arrive at the studio.
High Touch Surfaces
Every item that has been touched in the studio will be disinfected after each class. This includes but is not limited to door handles, light switches, lockers, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches, shoe cubbies, and computers.
Front Desk Members will be wearing masks and gloves and will be changing their gloves after each class.
Hand sanitizer will be available at several points throughout the studio, and we ask that all members sanitize their hands before entering the studio.
DISTANCING IN THE STUDIO
We will be limiting the number of bikes per class to ensure a safe and proper distance between riders in the studio. Class registration will resume as normal, and the bike selection tool will display only the limited bikes available for booking.
There will be markers inside and outside the studio to ensure social distancing is maintained. Please arrive a minimum of 5 minutes before the start of class. If you arrive early, we encourage you to get ready for class and head straight into the studio and warm up on your bike as we will be restricting lobby use to changing shoes and putting away belongings only.
Payment and Check-In
You can continue to purchase class credits through the website and app. For those needing to use Debit, we will disinfect the payment terminal after each use. We will no longer be accepting cash.
Self Check-In IPads will be removed from the lobby, and Front Desk members will now check you in as you arrive at the studio.
While we know how much you love our amenities, we’re going to have to put them on hold for a little while. For now, towel service will no longer be provided in the studio or restrooms, and members will be asked to bring their own sweat towels. Restrooms will now be stocked with single use, separated paper towels.
All shared hair tools and products in the change rooms will not be available for use, but you are welcome to bring your own. We will be limiting use of the change rooms to one person at a time. Showers will be unavailable until further notice.
All water stations will be unavailable, so you’ll need to bring a filled water bottle or purchase a water bottle by requesting one from Front Desk. The Recharge Bar will be open for take-out only at South Surrey.
As much as we love hanging with our littlest #spinhousesquad members during class, we will be temporarily suspending all Child Minding.
Front Desk & Instructors
Our team will be self-monitoring and will not be coming to work if they are experiencing any type of COVID-19 symptoms. To continue to promote social distancing in the studio, our instructors will be on the podium ahead of class and will be waiting until all members have exited the studio before leaving. Front Desk will be available for help with lockers and providing the necessary equipment needed for class, but will no longer be doing close contact bike set-up. They will instruct from a distance, and new riders will be sent information to review on bike-set up ahead of class.
We ask that members refrain from booking in for a class if they are feeling unwell, if they have travelled within the last 14 days, are living with anyone who is self isolating, quarantined or sick. We ask that you not book a class if you are presenting any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite.
CANCELLATIONS & LATE ARRIVALS
We will be enforcing a strict cancellation policy as spaces for classes will be limited. We have changed our cancellation policy to better support our limited class capacity. You must now cancel a minimum of eight hours before your scheduled class. Additionally, we will not be allowing any members into the studio after the doors have been closed.
We have also changed our fees so that Late Cancellations will be $5 and No Shows will be $10. We hope this will encourage our members to cancel class, even if late, to ensure another member can take their spot.
Please ask for assistance from Front Desk if there is a retail item you would like to purchase. We will not be allowing items to be tried on before purchase, but we will still be accepting returns. Returned items will be put back on shelves in accordance with the safety guidelines provided to the Retail Industry.
